Hi, my name is Dr. Mariam I have experience working with individuals and families struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, severe trauma resulting in PTSD, domestic violence, physical, emotional and sexual abuse, in addition to lack of motivation and hopelessness, re-integration into society when released from long-term inpatient and forensic hospitals as well as state prisons and jails. I help individuals with exploring their family origins and finding the route of their trauma resulting in anxiety and other mental health symptoms. I help individuals with providing a safe, positive, and nonjudgmental environment to share and explore some of their difficulties from childhood to their most recent life events.
I believe a healthy therapeutic relationship between a therapist and the patient is important to achieve a successful therapeutic outcome. I will guide and help my patients through nonjudgmental, person centered, and solution-based therapy to find the right path to live a healthy life physically and mentally, while they improve their interpersonal relationships and lifestyle in the process.
I have a vast experience with working with individuals from all ethnic backgrounds (criminal/immigrant, and otherwise), genders, religions, nationalities, and preferences. I have worked with minorities and have experience treating individuals from minority groups including immigrants with daily struggles of surviving and living in a new country. I speak three languages, and I can provide evaluation and therapy sessions in Armenian, Russian, and English. I am looking forward to meeting you and allowing me to be a part of your journey in achieving healthy mental health.
